Jody Basye has been a videographer since 1983 and he has broadened his scope from framing and editing moving pictures to stills. He’s been an active still photographer since 1998 and shoots on location for clients in the United States and abroad. His work has appeared on posters, magazine ads and covers, billboards, and trade show booths.

A native of Jackson Hole Wyoming, he was formally trained in Visual Communications for his under graduate education. Whether Jody is shooting out door scenery in his home town of Jackson Hole or in a cramped lighting booth, Jody brings a genuine enthusiasm, a trained eye and his own decisive vision to each and every job. Jody’s unique combination of qualities puts him at the forefront of his client’s minds when it comes to assigning a difficult video or photography shoot, and they only need to make one phone call to get 2 jobs done.

His ability to bring competence and warmth to any shoot has been an asset when shooting subjects that may not normally be at ease in front of a camera. Whether photographing a waiter in a diner or an executive from a fortune 500 company, Jody finds a way to connect with his subjects and the camera tells the truth.
